The text deals with the development of social democracy in the context of Central Moravia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, which was one of the most important regions in the Czech lands in terms of the development of civil society and political partisanship. Attention is paid to the development of social democracy itself and its regional structures, including the party's efforts to strengthen its position and influence by participating in elections. Finally, the possibilities of applying the topic in the curriculum are briefly and summarily discussed.
