High school as an educational institution providing tertiary education are the highest Article of the educational system with the right to award academic degrees according to Act No. 111/1998 Coll. Universities. Legislation governs the educational process at universities, since the conditions for adoption through the admissions process, decision-making processes leading to admission to study a degree program to the actual moment of fulfillment of all course requirements of the student intended to obtain academic title. The article deals with the definition of individual study programs, potential pitfalls in decision-making practice in higher education, the time schedule of the acquisition of academic forms of names including rules on the use of academic titles in their concurrence. Through the methods of analysis of the text of the legislation and the text of expert sources answer the question what is the way to gain academic title, from which point it is entitled to take college graduate degree, what actually documented diploma and diploma supplement, what are the rules for the use of academic titles interact and what the application rules in the decision-making process universities.
