The study presents the results of qualitative content analysis of contemporary Austrian History textbooks for upper secondary schools (covering 20th century). In the introduction the main criteria for analysis and evaluation are defined and the analysis results with examples of women emancipation history implementation are presented. The research results show that there are many chapters dedicated to this topic in the textbooks, covering the history of development of women emancipation aspirations in the 19th and 20th centuries, women involvement in both world wars, different aspects of everyday life and changes of women portrayal in advertisements....

This study deals with the Czech politics and Czech political press in the years 1848-1849 and during the second half of 19th Century. The empsasis is put on fundamental programme foundations, which were presented in contemporary press. Mentioned is also specific and unique character of political press in the Czech Lands and application of that theme in curriculum of history and civics.

This descriptive case study deals with an issue of the European Parliament electoral system in a historical perspective. It describes its genesis and reforms over time. The study therefore presents the evolution of filling the seats of Members of the European Parliament from the principle of delegation in the 1950s to the late 1970s through the 1979 introduction of direct elections for Members of the European Parliament to the current debate on a uniform electoral procedure across all Member States of the European Union.

The paper describes the problems of ethical codes universities, which guarantee the moral level of employees of the universities. In comparing these codes integrates the same features, provides examples of both positive and negative values and analyzes the largest cause of negative behavior of the academic staff.
