The aim of the study is to describe the process of assessing the consistency between the Constitution of the Czech Republic and the expected outcomes of the Framework Curriculum for Grammar Schools (Balada, 2021) in the field of history in the context of the requirements that the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (hereinafter referred to as MŠMT) has for textbooks according to their review questionnaire, which is used as a basis for the process of granting approval clauses of the MŠMT. The text first describes the procedure for the assessment of textbooks by the Ministry of Education and the conditions it imposes on publishers. Then the authors point out the importance of the review questionnaire, which is the basis for the approval of endorsements by the Ministry of Education, and describe its structure and methods of working with it. The next part of the text deals with the questionnaire itself. Due to the scope of the questionnaire, we have focused only on requirement 1.1 - i.e. compliance with the Constitution and laws of the Czech Republic (in particular equality of gender, race, colour, language, faith and religion). Subsequently, we selected such expected outcomes of the educational discipline of history that fulfilled this requirement. Finally, we mentioned the specific learning outcomes that textbooks could contain within these expected outcomes. The text was created as one of the outputs of the IGA_PDF_2022_018 Research project Development and transformations of the content of textbooks of social sciences before and after.
