The following article outlines the issue of the arrival of migrants and their influence on the settlement and the change of the western German cities after the Second World War. It focuses on the so-called External Signs of Immigrant Integration, their housing conditions and employment of immigrants, which can show, what formed the view of the local people on immigrants. The contribution is part of a dissertation project that focuses on the integration of Sudeten Germans in Bavaria and their Culture of Remembrance.
