The study focuses on the evaluation of history and education of citizenship textbooks (civic and social studies) among secondary school students, hight school students and their teachers through a modified questionnaire by Zuzana Sikora (Sikorová, 2007a). According to the conducted research, which this study reflects, the most used textbooks are those from the publishing houses Nová škola, Fraus, Státní pedagogické nakladatelství (hereinafter referred to as SPN), Didaktis and Computer Media. Pupils and students were generally more critical of the textbooks than their teachers (the only exception was the SPN textbook for hight vocational schools, for which teachers were highly critical). Using the data obtained from the questionnaire survey, a method was devised to compare opinions from teachers, pupils and students.
