Despite the Czech Republic hugely benefits from its EU membership, there is an euroscepticism on a major rise in the country. The article aims to identify whether there is any cause/or an appropriate answer to this trend in Czech schools and what instruments the teachers have to promote European values and educate towards Europeanism. The authors found out that curricular documents at both national as well as school level mostly provide sufficient space - yet lower than in Poland - to educate towards Europeanism, but the problem is their exploitation by teachers, who often prefer to lead their students towards hard skills than civic competencies and attitudes. Internationalisation and multilinguism in Czech schools are the ways to improve that.
