This article is a theoretical input to the project focused on research, analysis and opportunities for further development of competencies of history teachers in secondary schools, especially in education of contemporary history with the name " History of education with accent on contemporary history and its reflection from the teachers", the possibility to use available materials and resources through the teaching staff in preparation for teaching process, specifically with an overlap in the legal field in terms of legislative anchoring National Education Program, Framework Education Program and School Education Program, which gives possibilities of teaching methods and approaches within history of education in relation to legislative restrictions in the use of educational resources under the Copyright Act.
