In the context of the increasing use of AI tools, such as ChatGPT, by both students and teachers, it is important to understand how these rules are formulated and applied. The results of a quantitative survey among FSV UK teachers show that a large proportion of them have not established any rules for the use of AI in their courses, despite general recommendations at the university level. On the other hand, content analysis provides an overview of the approaches and formulations used by teachers when setting these rules. Based on this analysis, the article also offers specific recommendations for the effective formulation and implementation of AI usage policies in education.
