AB  - This study is focused on visual components in current textbooks of civic education for elementary schools. First, the picture is characterized and follows familiarization with conducted research of non-verbal resources. Another important part is the classification of types and functions of image materials. The selected textbooks from various publisher are presented in the last extensive and most important chapter in which visual components are analyzed, evaluated and compared.
