It studies their nature and first of all it analyses their role in relation to the phenomenon of migration. The main part of the conclusion states that walls and fences are not only the results of a tension accompanying migration but that they are a cause of intensifying that tension at the same time. The research has focused on two Czech newspapers - the tabloid Blesk and quality press Hospodarske noviny - and covered the years 2015-16. ER
